Logging the trees

The importance of the trees does not stop on making furniture, paper or other wood products. The trees are the air filter for the Earth. The trees change the Carbon dioxide to Oxygen which the Human beings need to live. The forests are the home for the animal, birds and Insects. The man in the used the trees for making coal, weapons, boats and many Primitive objects, but he did use the amount of the wood like now. Nowadays, most the forests on the Earth are going to disappear because of the human activities. In this topic I will explain the problems of logging the forests and I will suggest some possible solutions.

Starting with the problems with some researches which I did is really sad to me. First, problem is logging the trees from years ago for the same area caused desertification such as Africa where most the jungles are shrinking and cattle died (eden-foundation). Another, problem is the green house gas will increase and that is the main reason for the global warming due to the logging in world. Yet another problem is the importance of the trees pulp in many industries. For example paper which take the lion share of using of the pulp also the paper cannot be recycled as good quality as before and it coast more money, so the need of logging will not stop (thecanadianencyclopedia). Finally, the advanced machines make the trees and the forests shrinking faster (illegal-logging).

Turing to the solutions I’d like to say we should start with our selves by satisfy with recycled paper. In this case the requirement on pulp will be less. Another solution is try to avoid the using the paper and depend on computers technology for everything if you could. That will work greatly to reduce the consumption using paper. Yet another solution is replanting the demolished land by seedlings (clfa). Finally, the governments should work to stop the illegal logging and organize the logging seasons
In conclusion, the forests are important for balancing the Earth environment. We should keep the Earth green for our children future. Joining voluntary work for replanting and teaching the young generation about the importance for forests would be good work to prove the replanting.

Cool Cities are impractical

Many people think that cool cities are the solution for the global warming. In fact cool cities are impractical for several reasons which will be mentioned in this essay supported by Masdar city which going to build in Abu Dhabi.
The population in the world is more than 6 billion. Cool cities would not be practical because it can hold low population. For example Masdar city hold 47500 population only ( Masdar Site) where Abu Dhabi population in 2030 will be around 3.1 million. Another problem is the cost of the cool cities. To build modern buildings, modern transport networks, planting large areas. And making large water surfaces needs huge budget. Masdar will cost $22 billion (Wikipedia). Even during construction the cities would be problem. CO2 emissions will increase and after building them the emissions will produce. Another issue came to my mind is living in the cool cities would change our life styles. There would not be any more traditions any more like before. The life style would be more different especially for a community like UAE. The UAE people like stick with traditions which they believe.
In conclusion, the cool cities would be practical and a good solution to save the Earth for our children future. Building beautiful city like Masdar will be impractical as my opinion supported by examples and facts. Instead, we should plant trees and make green buildings and we should the power energy.
